A high-resolution display clearly presents the operating band frequency, with selectable color options (white, blue, or red) for enhanced visibility. Intuitive operation is provided by three (3) touch panel keys and seven (7) operation keys conveniently located below the display.
The new TOUCH & GO operation offers unparalleled convenience for quickly initiating communication on frequently used frequencies. Simply press and hold the “PMG” key to register the current display frequency into the Primary Memory Group. Subsequently, pressing the “PMG” key displays the activity of these registered frequencies as bars on a graph, allowing for instant recall by simply touching the desired bar.
The integrated Band Scope function provides real-time monitoring of up to 79 channels centered around the current VFO frequency. The center frequency can be easily adjusted using the dial knob or by directly touching and moving the frequency bar of a displayed channel.
The FT5DR seamlessly integrates popular C4FM digital communication features, including Automatic Mode Select (AMS), Digital Group ID (DG-ID) operation, and the helpful Smart Navigation function.
Expanding its versatility, the FT5DR supports the WiRES-X Portable Digital Node Function. Easily set up a portable digital node with the FT5DR, an internet-connected laptop PC, and the optional SCU-39 cable kit.
